Compared to the 1-hour walking tour, this itinerary will take us up to the First Tower.
Starting point: Porta San Francesco – Main entrance in the lower part of the city centre, at a short walking distance from coach parks P1 and P2. The tour will continue towards Cava dei Balestrieri (Crossbowmen’s Quarry) or Piazzetta Garibaldi, then Piazza della Libertà (Liberty Square), the Basilica of Saint Marinus (cathedral) and First Tower (fortification in the upper part of the city centre). From the little square opposite the Tower, if weather allows, you will get a breathtaking view all around towards the Adriatic Coast, on one side, and the hilly Montefeltro region, on the other.
